Group export for Jira is NOT vulnerable to https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2021-44228 known as log4jshell. The plugin does not include log4j library and relies on Atlassian internal logging. Please read this FAQ from Atlassian.

Introduction

The Jira User and Group Export for Jira is a simple and powerful enhancement for the normal Jira user and group search, that can be found in the Jira administration interface under Administration > User management > Users/groups. Besides being able to search for Jira users and groups, Jira User and Group Export can export Jira users to several formats

 

and has support for creating Jira user properties via REST.

The Jira User and Group Export app is located under Administration > User management when installed.

The Jira User and Group Export app is available for Jira Server and Jira Data Center.

Searching Jira users and groups

The Jira User and Group Export search functionality is very much like the normal Jira user search.

Exporting Jira users and groups

Where the normal Jira user and group search is all about search, the User and group Export app can export the search result into several formats. The current formats are:

  • JSON

  • XML

  • CSV – comma separated

  • CSV – semicolon separated

  • XLSX

Using REST endpoints for Jira User export

The User Export for Jira app has several REST and Server endpoints that can be used for searching Jira users and for exporting Jira users to the above mentioned formats.

Supported languages

User Export for Jira supports the following languages in Jira:

  • English

  • Danish

  • German

  • French

  • Spanish

If you want another language added to the language list above and you can translate to the new language please let us know



Security

Jira User and Group Export can only be accessed by Jira users that have Jira System Administrator or JIra Administrator global permissions.
