This page explains how to set up Feedback & Voting for Jira Service Desk.
App configuration
After installing the add-on go to Manage Apps and select Feedback & Voting for Jira Service Desk
The list shows all Jira Service Desk projects on your Jira instance. Select which projects should have Feedback & Voting for Jira Service Desk enabled.
Project configuration
Go to your Jira Service Desk project and go to project settings and select Feedback & Voting for Jira Service Desk settings
First you need to decide on the Title displayed on portal and Link text in Service Desk portal
- Title displayed on portal
- This title will be displayed form the customer Feedback and Voting Portal
- Link text in Service Desk portal
- This text will show as a short cut on your Jira Service Desk Customer portal
Two types of configuration
Feedback & Voting for Jira Service Desk can be configured to show issues to your customers in two different ways, JQL configuration & Simple filter (issue types)
JQL configuration
- When selecting JQL filter Feedback & Voting for Jira Service Desk will display the issues defined in your JQL string.
Simple filter (issue types)
- When selecting Simple filter (issue types) Feedback & Voting for Jira Service Desk will display the issues by the issue types selected.
Permissions
- Feedback & Voting for Jira Service Desk will allow agents to view the Feedback & Voting backend view. If you have different project roles covering your Jira Service Desk customer, you can decide, who can view the Portal Voting Site
